Hello! I’m Trevor, a native English speaker from Australia, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as your potential English tutor. After living in Hong Kong for 18 years, I can confidently say that I’ve mastered the art of navigating the MTR and surviving on bubble tea alone. I also speak basic Cantonese—enough to order dim sum but not quite enough to discuss quantum physics!

I hold a CertTESOL Level 5 from Trinity College, which sounds impressive, doesn’t it? I assure you, it’s not just a fancy piece of paper—I’ve accrued three years of teaching students of all ages, from young children who think grammar is a type of dinosaur to adults who want to impress their colleagues with impeccable emails.

In addition to my teaching experience, I have 16 years in communications in international schools. This means I can help students polish their writing skills. My goal is to help students express themselves clearly and confidently in English, all while having a bit of fun!

I believe that learning should be enjoyable, so expect plenty of laughter (and maybe a few dad jokes) in our sessions. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable and motivated to improve.
