I am from Hong Kong and Cantonese is my mother tongue. I can also speak fluent Mandarin due to my experience in working for a trading company that has connections to Mainland China factories.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Translations and Language Studies and can explain the structures of Chinese systematically, while comparing them with English to deepen your understanding of Chinese.

I have also been teaching other languages such as Japanese and English to second language learners and have experience in designing lessons for non-native speakers.

Lessons will emphasize the importance of practicing and practical use. If you are completely new to Chinese, I will use existing textbooks along with self-made materials, and can also provide exercises.

Lessons will primarily focus on basic knowledge, such as pronunciations, forming basic sentences, basic changes of verbs and adjectives, likes and dislikes, etc.

We will begin by going through vocabularies, and then practice using the words in basic sentence structures. At this stage, there will be a greater emphasis on using both Chinese and English. Read less
