Bio

Hi! My name is Sira Kiran. I'm a friendly and experienced tutor based in Kuwait. I teach ACCA, CFA, CMA, and CAT/FIA. I have over 5 years of work experience in accounting and auditing. I use my real work knowledge to make lessons easier and more practical for students.

I make my own notes based on students' learning styles and interests. I believe studying should not be boring or stressful. That's why I use examples, memes (optional) and simple slides to help you understand quickly and enjoy learning.

I focus on building strong basics, solving many practice questions, and doing mock exams to help you feel confident for your real exam. I also understand that students sometimes feel stressed, so I always try to support and motivate you in a kind and positive way.

Q: What accounting software do you teach, and what versions of it are you comfortable with?

I don't teach any accounting software, only courses.

Q: What level of accounting do you teach, and what grades or levels are you comfortable teaching?

I am comfortable teaching at any level or grade. I have experience teaching basic, intermediate, and advanced levels of accounting throughout my teaching career.

Q: Do you have experience with online teaching platforms or virtual tutoring, and what is your preferred method of communication with students?

Yes, I do have an experinece with online teaching platforms such as google meet, Teams, Skype, and Whatsapp.

Q: How do you ensure that students understand the accounting concepts and principles they are learning, and how do you reinforce that knowledge?

In my personalized notes, I include practice questions after every topic. I encourage students to answer them spontaneously, either verbally or in writing, depending on the type of question. This helps me assess how well the student has understood the topic. After the practice questions, before moving on to the next topic, I always allow time for any questions or doubts, once feedback has been provided. This ensures that students are truly understanding the material and are not zoning out during the class.

Q: How do you help students prepare for accounting exams or standardized tests?

I help students by providing plenty of practice questions, along with exam-style tests and mock exams. This ensures that students understand the depth of the exam structure and also improve their time-management skills. After every section of the syllabus or chapter, I prefer to take tests, typically allowing 7-10 days for preparation. Before the test, I also conduct an extra class for focused practice questions, so students can understand the importance of proper preparation.

Q: Do you offer any additional resources or materials to supplement your lessons, such as practice exercises or online tutorials?

Yes I do provide extra material including my own notes with lots of practice questions.

Q: How do you help students prepare for accounting exams or coursework, and what strategies do you use to build their confidence in their accounting abilities?

I aim to finish the entire syllabus at least a month before the exam, giving students sufficient time to revise and practice as many questions as possible. I also conduct short mock exams before the final mocks, and the number of final mocks depends on the difficulty of the exam. A month of focused preparation has proven to be a successful strategy, allowing us to cover any weak areas and test the stronger ones.
