Experienced English and Chinese language tutor with a passion for teaching. I am cheerful, caring, and understanding of both students' and parents' needs. I am a registered teacher for primary and high school students in Hong Kong, and I am also registered with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) in Canada. Additionally, I hold a Master's degree in Education from the University of Hong Kong, as well as a Master's degree in Counselling and a TESL Certificate.

I have taught Cantonese and Mandarin using the input method, and I have teaching experience in both Hong Kong and Toronto. I am highly proficient in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. I utilize strategies to motivate students and help them learn more efficiently. Moreover, I have experience working with students with special educational needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Dyslexia. Additionally, I am experienced in assisting students with symptoms of depression and anxiety.

I am an open-minded, responsive, and observant teacher who is able to effectively engage my students. A student-centered approach to learning is my methodology, through which I coach and facilitate my students to take the lead in their own learning. I provide regular evaluation and provide positive feedback. I strive to make each session interesting and innovative.

My lessons include various skills such as reading skills, reading aloud, vocabulary building, grammar usage, sentence patterns, and writing in different genres. Additionally, I cover listening and speaking skills. Read less
