Questions for You

Q: What teaching methods do you use to help students learn Math concepts and solve problems?

I use clear, step-by-step explanations to help students understand math lessons. I guide them through examples, practice, ask questions to develop critical thinking, and review mistakes to strengthen their skills. My lessons are supportive and focused on building confidence while helping students solve problems independently.

Q: Do you have experience with online teaching platforms or virtual tutoring, and what is your preferred method of communication with students?

Yes, I have experience with online tutoring and using virtual platforms to conduct lessons. I’m comfortable using video conferencing tools, screen sharing, and interactive materials to keep students engaged. My preferred method of communication is a combination of live video sessions for teaching and chat messaging for follow-ups, questions, and feedback. This helps maintain clear communication and continuous support for my students.

Q: What Math topics or concepts are you particularly skilled in teaching, and how do you keep up to date with changes in the curriculum?

I am particularly skilled in teaching math topics or concepts such as basic math, fractions, algebra, trigonometry and geometry. I focus on making these concepts simple and easy to understand, especially for beginners. To keep up with changes in the curriculum, I regularly review updated learning materials, explore online resources, and stay informed about common student difficulties. I also adapt my teaching based on each student’s needs and current school requirements.

Q: How do you communicate with parents about their child's progress and any challenges they may be facing in learning Math?

I maintain regular and clear communication with parents by providing short updates after sessions, including what we covered, the child’s progress, and any challenges observed. I explain difficulties in a simple way and suggest practical steps they can support at home. I also encourage open communication, so parents can ask questions anytime. When needed, I give progress reports and adjust the learning plan based on the student’s improvement and goals.

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or materials to supplement your lessons, such as practice exercises or online tutorials?

Yes, I provide additional resources or materials to supplement my lessons such as practice exercises.

Q: What is your approach to homework assignments, and how do you ensure students understand the concepts covered in class?

I only give homework assignments if necessary. If our sessions is just once a week, I give a small amount of homework. I make sure that they understand the lesson before I give an assignment.

Q: What steps do you take to ensure that your teaching approach is compatible with the student's learning style?

I start by assessing the student’s current level, pace, and preferred way of learning through simple questions and trial activities. I observe whether they respond better to visuals, step-by-step explanations, or hands-on practice. Then, I adapt my teaching approach based on what works best for them. I also regularly check their understanding and adjust my methods as needed to make sure they stay engaged and improve effectively.

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning disabilities or special needs, and how do you adapt your teaching methods to accommodate their needs?

I don't have yet experience with students with learning disability or special needs. If I do, I will definitely adapt teaching styles based on their needs. I'll do some research to better understand their situation.
