Turning my own confusion into clarity has given me something very valuable: I now have an excellent sense of exactly where students get stuck and why. Whether it’s a fundamental misunderstanding in algebra, difficulty visualising geometry, struggling with calculus proofs, or exam technique under time pressure, I know how to clear it up effectively. This is something I've always felt a lot of Math teachers are unable to acomplish.

I focus on deep conceptual understanding rather than rote learning. I tailor every lesson to the individual student identifying their specific gaps, explaining ideas in the clearest possible way. I also write out original questions tailored to help improve on understanding/skills needed for specific topics.

For most students, the end goal is to get good grades in exams, so exam technique is the main focus after indivual topics have been understood. I give multiple methods to think in exams. Read less
