I am from SL for 1.5 years and a PhD student in Forestry Sciences. I am holding bachelors degree in biological sciences and masters in chemistry. I was a university lecturer for 5 years in Sri Lanka. I have completed teaching, learning and tutoring training program at UC. I am best of teaching easy learning methods more than hard memorizing of the notes. I have a good experience in teaching for students in different levels. Not only as a class room environment, but also using practical, innovative sessions, I can make the learning easy and attractive for the student. I can teach Biology and Chemistry.

I have completed my Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi institute of technology, Kottayam and is currently pursuing my graduate studies in ARA institute of Canterbury. I really know some cool tricks related to mathematics that would separate me from other tutors and I assure I can make learning an enjoyable experience.

I am delighted to be able to teach you or your child English! I am deeply passionate about English, having recently finished my Honours degree in English literature, and hope one day to become an academic in English. Currently I live in Sumner, New Zealand, and am happy to teach in Christchurch and Banks Peninsula. I am happy to teach English either as a school or university subject, or as a second language, depending on your needs. I have experience teaching a variety of different age groups, including NCEA preparation and primary level English. I have received immensely positive feedback. My secondary students in particular, have told me that my approach has immensely clarified such mystifying topics as essay writing, critical readings, and how to navigate NCEA assignments. I have extensive experience with the NCEA system, having gained a Level 3 excellence endorsement, and scholarships in English, Classics, and History. Additionally, I am also experienced with helping second language speakers. I have volunteered as a conversation leader with my University's ESL centre, and also often help out non-native speaker friends with proofreading assignments, etc. I also speak relatively fluent German and low intermediate Spanish, if this is of help. My approach is friendly, patient, and dedicated to the needs of my students. I am available evenings, weekends, and some afternoons. I'm an experienced Maths & Science Teacher who has 9 years of teaching experience. I am quite passinate for subjects I teach and can understand stuednts or kids level and accomodate accordingly. Every child is different and so its understanding and learnng style. So, as a teacher, it's very important to have a great patience and determination. I've taught English and Literature in an international school for the past 7 years. Because the students sit for external exams such as Checkpoint and IGCSE, I have had experience preparing students for such exams.
