Hello! I’m a first-year chemistry student at the University of Oxford with previous experience in tutoring GCSE and A-level Chemistry. I self-taught myself GCSE and A-level Chemistry, sitting the exams in Year 10 and 11 respectively. I achieved: A-levels: A*s in Chemistry, Physics, and Maths and an A in Further Maths. GCSE: 9A*s, 1A. Furthermore, I qualified for the UK Chemistry Olympiad Round 2 in Year 12 (within the top 30 out of around 10,000 students nationally). I am offering online tuition sessions for GCSE, IB, DSE, A-level Chemistry, and Physics, as well as university guidance and personal statement review services. My work ethics and tutoring approach: I am a patient, diligent, and resourceful tutor able to tailor the lesson according to the student’s needs. My main tutoring approach is to break down a concept into logical steps and guide the tutee through it. Next, apply their acquired knowledge to questions. If the tutee struggles or answers incorrectly, I would identify where they are struggling or made a mistake, then thoroughly explain it and allow them to reach the correct answer instead of directly providing the answer to the question. In my experience, this method can secure knowledge and even easily apply it in more complex problems. If the tutee is preparing for exams, we will work through past papers together to identify weaker areas and highlight exam and revision techniques. I will also provide self-written notes and worked answers for past papers to aid in studying.

I started my bachelor's degree in Chemistry at the Institute of High Technologies of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv in Ukraine in 2016. I was an intern in chemical labs at the Institute of Organic Chemistry of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine, Enamine Ltd, and Life Chemicals Inc. Then, I continued my studies to obtain a Master's degree in Applied Physics. Since the 1st year of my master's program, I have worked at BroBots Kyiv, a private engineering school. In 2021, I was fortunate to have been accepted into a university in France and received a scholarship from the French government. Thus, I continued my research and studied at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon in a master’s degree program in Nanoscale Engineering. My life credo is to constantly learn something new, to develop interdisciplinary skills, not only in science, but also in more creative domains. For example, I strive to learn new languages, improvise jazz music, and occasionally engage in drawing, cooking delicious meals, traveling to different places to gain a better understanding of both cultural and natural components, and hiking in the mountains. While teaching, I employ a scientific approach to explain the material, integrating principles from physics, biology, and math to enhance comprehension of the topic. I place significant emphasis on fostering analytical thinking and the ability to explain the physical reasons behind various phenomena and processes in chemistry.

I have recently relocated to Bangkok from Indonesia and am looking for tutoring opportunities mainly to engage my time fruitfully and benefit students, especially during weekends and holidays. I have 15 years of teaching experience, primarily in IGCSE and IB schools, focusing on Science (mainly Physics and Chemistry) and Mathematics.
