Hello, I believe each and every student is different, so I will adjust my teaching style accordingly. I generally try to simplify a concept without losing any content. I will break up a challenging topic into smaller, more digestible topics. Research suggests that non-experts are better off looking at solutions, so I will solve questions explaining my thinking process so you can mimic it in exams. Later on, I will assign a very small but targeted amount of questions that will help you solidify your understanding, and you will not waste time doing the same type of questions repeatedly. It doesn't matter if you are a student who earns B or D grades, my goal is to help you achieve an A*.

I am Farhan Yusuf Khan, an international undergraduate student at the University of Hong Kong currently studying Computer Science. During my high school years, I studied in the British Curriculum and sat for Cambridge O Levels and A Levels Examinations, achieving A*/As. Since I have been studying in the British Curriculum my entire life, I am fluent in English and knowledgeable in international curriculum. I have also been learning programming for more than 4 years and have experience in coding with Python, C/C++. Additionally, I have experience with competitive programming and qualified for the national round of the Programming Olympiad in my home country. I believe I can help students delve deep into this broad and intriguing field. I am currently working as a Student Teaching Assistant at the University of Hong Kong, where I assist students enrolled in the Computer Programming I course with programming problems. In Hong Kong, I have taught programming in Python to grade 5 and grade 3 students from KCIS Hong Kong. I was educated at the specialist Physics-Mathematics School. During my school time I enjoyed constructing various electronics devices (from vacuum tube based amplifiers to transistor based radio receivers). My University study was at the Physics Faculty where I was awarded MSc Radiophysics and Electronics. My Final Year Project was implemented at the Physics research institute in the research automation lab and it was related to the Systems Programming. This led me to doing PhD in Systems Programming. I am doing teaching of various aspects of Computer Science at the University level from 1984. In 2015 I have started private tutoring of Maths (up to GCSE), Physics (upto GCSE) and Computer Science (up to PhD). I live in Hertfordshire but very frequently visit London. I can drive to the required location.
