Hello! My name is Isabella Stratta, an 18-year old high school senior studying at Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong. I am looking to tutor in English and French (Native level) as well as Economics (Pre-International Baccalaureate Level), Global Politics and Environmental Systems and Societies (International Baccalaureate Level). I have tutored students in French and English for over 4 years and can send my transcripts for the International Baccalaureate subjects. I love teaching kids and like finding fun ways to learn! I am an Italian language teacher. I am 69 years old and I live in the Philippines because I have a family situation here; also, I like tropical countries. I have been living in the Philippines since 2015. When I was in Italy I thought English and French in high schools. Here in the Philippines I usually teach Italian. I work for an Italian school in Makati (Metro Manila) called P.I.A. (PHILIPPINE ITALIAN ASSOCIATION). It is a school and a cultural association at the same time. I like teaching languages; sometimes I teach French, but outside P.I.A. I would like to teach French for two reazons: 1st. I like this language; 2nd. I am a language teacher, so to teach only one language is not enough for me. When I was in Europe I visited Paris: I accompanied one of my classes in France. France is as much charming as Italy.

I have a love for linguistics and use my interest in literacy/etymology to create memorisation techniques to help students remember vocabulary; my lessons are engaging, stimulating and fun. I hold a master's degree in Translation and Interpreting studies from the University of Manchester (with merit) and I also possess a first class degree in Modern Foreign Language Studies with a focus on linguistics. I completed my PGCE (with distinction) and I am currently working as a full time teacher of languages in a high school. I am a native French speaker, born and raised in France, and I worked for 15 years in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Therefore, I am able to make comparisons and note the differences between the French used in these two countries (and even more with Canada, Belgium, and African countries). I wrote and published a sci-fi book in France in 2009. My specialization is the travel industry, in which I have been working for 20 years in Europe and Southern Africa.
