Does this make me a polyglot? In Canada, speaking French and English is considered part of the official languages. Adding Spanish makes a trilingual speaker more versatile. And I added Portuguese to this repertoire of languages. Can I speak them all fluently? Not really, as I have forgotten many important parts of these languages. However, I use English and French as teaching tools to influence my students. Speaking French and English in Hong Kong has allowed me to be more proficient in both languages. It has also allowed me to connect better with my students, as I have a wider vocabulary to express myself. For the past 10 years, I have shared my knowledge and helped develop practical vocabulary skills. After completing my French baccalaureate, I moved to Amsterdam at 18 to study at the University of Amsterdam in the PPLE bachelor program (Politics, Psychology, Law, and Economics), where I specialize in politics. Outside of my studies, I'm passionate about athletics and serve as the general secretary of the Aquila sports association in Amsterdam. Sports have taught me discipline and perseverance—qualities that I naturally incorporate into my teaching style. I'm a dynamic, organized, and reliable person, and I'm committed to helping each student progress at their own pace while building confidence in their abilities. I've been a teaching assistant at the University of Amsterdam for four months now, a position I earned after excelling in the psychology course last year.
