I currently live in the US but my background is European, as I am from Moscow. I grew up in Denmark, which is geographically and practically the little brother of Germany. Learning the German language is a mandatory part of our education in Denmark. As such, I have studied German for many years. I can speak it and read it - much like a person from Ubon Ratchathani can speak both Thai and Isaan. However, I'm generally a grammar nerd, so I have a much more high-level understanding of German grammar than many other Danish people. In my home country of Denmark, I work as a psychological counselor for patients with chronic pain issues, and I also work in a residential institution for adults with developmental disorders. I'm currently on leave of vacation as I'm volunteering in a holistic rehab center on the island of Koh Phangan, Thailand. I've facilitated group tutoring at my own university for three years (including classes such as Social & Personality Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Work & Organizational Psychology). I have worked as a professional proof-reader to correct grammar, syntax and the structure of E-books about stress and mentoring. Before arriving in Thailand in October, last year, I was working in Tanzania, East Africa, as an English teacher in two different nursery schools. Currently, I am volunteering at a rehab center on Koh Phangan, which is why I seek to work online in my free time so that I can pay my rent.

I came to Hong Kong more than six years ago and completed a Dual Apprenticeship Training Programme and undergraduate studies at CUHK. Since I have less opportunity to speak in my mother tongue in Hong Kong I would like to help you learning and mastering the German language, which can be very difficult for second or third language learners at times. I have experience with assisting German conversation and homework of fellow students at my university and am now looking to expand my student circle.
