I am a dedicated Social Studies tutor based in Alabama with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and over 16 years of hands-on homeschooling experience. As a homeschooling parent of two teenagers, I understand the importance of tailoring lessons to each student’s learning style and pace. My approach is patient, engaging, and rooted in real-world understanding—especially in areas like history, government, and civics. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in social studies by making connections that are meaningful and relevant to their lives. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching Social Sciences subjects/modules to a diverse range of students in secondary and higher education. My goal as an educator is to inspire curiosity, instill confidence, and help students reach their full potential both academically and personally. I designed and delivered a curriculum that not only aligned with educational standards but also encouraged critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving. I have successfully integrated technology into my lessons, enhancing student engagement through interactive tools and personalized learning strategies. Additionally, I have mentored and guided students with varying academic abilities, including those with special educational needs.
