My name is Malaika, and I am currently a first-year undergraduate student studying Psychology at Middlesex University. I specialize in Maths (GCSE, KS3, Primary), Psychology (A-level & GCSE), and Sociology (GCSE & A-level). I am dedicated to achieving the highest levels of academic attainment at each level. I believe that with the right attitude and curiosity, everything is possible. I also look to help A-level students with their personal statements and university applications. I have previously taught 2 students in GCSE Maths and 1 student in A-level Sociology. We worked on improving the content that they were weak on and focused on these areas for a few lessons, while also incorporating their existing knowledge. My lessons are always pre-planned. We will start by establishing a curriculum to ensure that we follow it topic by topic in order to achieve the best possible results. I aim to engage students in questions to help enhance their knowledge and provide them with a bit of a challenge. My teaching approach includes using an online whiteboard to ensure that my students are actively participating in their lessons. This tool allows me to easily bring up topics and upload my own PowerPoint presentations that are specifically designed for each point in the syllabus. During exam preparation, I am always available to help my students prepare and make them feel at ease before sitting an exam.
