Hi, I am currently pursuing a Master's in Data Science at FAU Erlangen Nuremberg. Like many of you, mathematics was my biggest fear in my early years of school. By grade 8, through hard work, I grew to love math! It is still my favourite subject. I can teach you how to appreciate the art of mathematics and not fear it. For your reference, I scored 99 out of 100 in my higher secondary examination.

My name is Dr. Jarek. I'm a professional, fully qualified (QTFE) university lecturer, an active theoretical physicist and a professional tutor. My teaching experience (Maths, Physics) is over 30 years, of which in Thailand - 4 years. I am open-minded with my teaching style. If you are interested, I also teach piano (visiting students or sometimes receiving students in SaiMai) or Russian (online or in person by means of visits). I hold a PhD in Mathematics and am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Additionally, I currently work as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Manchester. For the past 10 years, I have worked as a private tutor, helping over 100 students in their studies of mathematics and physics. I recently became a member of MyTutor. My English proficiency is at a fluent level, with a C2 certification. Mathematics is a field that consistently yields results when one puts in hard work, due to its intrinsic nature. It has always been my passion and will continue to be, primarily because its objective is to simplify and enhance understanding (I understand that it may not appear this way initially, but allow me to demonstrate!).

I am a CS PhD student at NUS, specializing in theoretical and algorithmic aspects of machine learning. I have an MSc in Maths and a BSc in CS and Maths. I have been a TA and private tutor for university level maths/CS since 2017. The subjects that I usually teach are proof-based maths (e.g., linear algebra, analysis, abstract algebra) or math-heavy ML/DS (optimization, advanced ML). I used to be active in mathematics and algorithms competitions many years ago, and would be happy to coach motivated primary and high school students. I am based in the Sengkang area, but I am happy to commute.
