I have 4 years teaching Math and Science; mainly Physics, privately and in a tuition centre. After understanding, practice is definitely required especially for subjects such as Math so I believe in independent work done to check for understanding and internalization. I make and provide smart notes for students as a summary and a checklist for concepts taught and internalized by them. This helps students who are struggling as they are able to focus on their misconceptions and effectively work on them. I am interested in equipping the youth with the necessary mathematical skills required in the real world and in further studies. I enjoy showing students that Math has applications and is not there to make their lives difficult. For example, Trigonometry is used in Triangulation whereby the location of an object is determined. I am good at diagnosing students' problem areas and from there I customise lessons to how the student thinks. I can explain the same concept in at least three different ways.
