I have been a classroom teacher for 25 years and have designed highly successful courses in French, Spanish, and other languages, ESL, mathematics, teaching methodologies, and research methods (for university and graduate-level students). My style as a teacher is focused on uncovering how each student learns and working with them to develop tricks, strategies, and routines that support their success in school in a way that is uniquely theirs. I teach students how to communicate effectively in a new language and excel in mathematics, but our approach is not about me telling them to do things a certain way. It's more about them conveying their needs to me so that we can collaboratively find an effective way to approach learning. Studying in this manner will not only yield good grades but also provide you with a lifelong skill – how to effectively learn anything you desire. I primarily work in southern Vermont, but I also travel to southwestern New Hampshire and western Massachusetts.
