Hello! My name is Peyton and I graduated from the University of Toronto in 2020. I started tutoring for university level Calculus and Linear Algebra in 2017 and I became a Teaching Assistant (TA) at the University of Toronto in 2018. I have worked/am currently working as a TA in three departments at U of T - Mathematics, Statistics, and Management. I taught 8 courses in the span of 2 years across 3 departments. The courses that I taught at U of T are as follows: - Linear Algebra I (MAT223) - Calculus for Life Sciences (MAT134) - Calculus and Linear Algebra for Commerce (MAT133) - Introduction to Applied Statistics (STA258) - Statistics with Applied Probability (STA215) - Introduction to Probability and Modelling (STA107) - Operations Management (MGT374) - Analysis for Decisions and Control (MGM301) I received positive feedbacks from students throughout the years and I am very confident in my teaching experience. I customize the materials for my students based on their needs and goals; I also use a lot of examples that textbooks might not mention (but crucial for consolidating concepts) to explain. I also have several test banks and I can provide a large amount of extra practices to my students. I am also very aware of their misconceptions and the traps that students might be falling in when studying for a certain topic. I am also very responsive to messages and emails. I believe learning is a life-long endeavor. I earned my bachelor's degree in business administration and my first master's degree in finance in Europe. After that, I owned multiple businesses and learned first-hand how all of the theories and methods work in real life. I missed academia, so six years ago I chose to continue my education and completed my second master's degree in economics.
