I'm and English teacher and writer living in Oklahoma City. I'm a natural born Okie and have taught High School English here, worked in journalism and published four books. I'm state certified in English Literature, Grammar and Composition. I'm currently studying for a Masters in Distance Education. Currently, I teach an online Poetry Workshop. I did graduate work with the National Book Award winning poet at Oklahoma State University as well as studying screenwriting. I help with basic grammar skills, composition and all areas of Literature. My emphasis is Literature and Composition. I can help you write essays that are well formulated and a developed critical analysis of the text you are reading.I work from home. An email, a text message or phone call are fine. I apply New Criticism Close Reading method. This means looking closely at the vocabulary and sentence structures in texts. As a writing teacher my methodology is to help the student develop a personal style in their writing. This comes from word choice and development of ideas. I read everything from comics, graphic novels, sci-fi/fantasy to Modern and Classic Literature. I see value in all written and creative work.
