Hi! My name is Daniela. I live in Toronto, Ontario and I'm passionate about the English language and plethora of literature it has produced! I have expertise in literary history, dissecting those tricky Shakespeare plays and writing concise and powerful essays. I graduated from the University of Toronto in 2017 with an honours Bachelor of Arts specializing in English Literature, and will soon be starting a Master's degree to further enhance my skills as not only an academic, but a passionate fanatic of fiction, poetry and prose. I love to keep an open mind in teaching -- not everyone takes to the subject matter right away, and that's ok! -- and plan my methods at your pace. I like to begin with reading the text, allowing myself to digest what it's telling me at face value, and then break it down to the overarching themes and hidden messages. Literature belongs to us -- it means what it means to us, and every iteration is valid so long as you can provide an impassioned basis to your arguments. Read less
