I am Joellen Brennan. I am a certified mathematics teacher. I have been teaching 6th -12th grade mathematics for 8 years. I am also certified by the American Board for Certification of Teacher Excellence. In addition, I am certified pre-kindergarten through the 3rd grade and am experienced teaching at these levels also.

I combine both traditional methods and project based instruction.
Project based instruction applies the concepts and skills being taught to careers and life situations. For example, the application of mathematics to photo journalism and travel. Project based mathematics is real world. Rarely do I hear, "When will I ever use this?" when teaching by this method.
