I like to get to know my students and find out what their needs are. Don't be surprised if I do a quick, informal assessment on you. This will save your time and my time, while also ensuring you're learning and enjoying the sessions with me. In my lessons, we will engage in activities, games, watch videos, or listen to music to expose you to as much English as possible, just like in the real world.

I can work with students online or in face-to-face settings. I use the PPP structure to prepare most of my lessons, which makes learning English easier. Examples are presented to the students first, then a practice session, and finally a production session where students work in groups, pairs, or independently to use English in integrated skills. Using the PPP structure maximizes the students' use of all necessary skills: speaking, listening, writing, reading, critical thinking, teamwork, autonomy, and vocabulary.

As a graduate student in TESOL, I have developed my own assessments, tests, exams, and rubrics to supplement my students' learning based on what research has shown to be most effective. If you take your English language learning seriously and want to enjoy it at the same time, you can count on me.

I usually focus on exam-style or past paper questions in order to check, practice, and perfect the student's understanding and technique. Read less
