I am Sehnila, currently working as an AP and IB Mathematics (Higher Level) teacher at an international school in Bangkok, Thailand. I believe that my teaching experience, working with a wide age group across multiple mathematics subjects, combined with my familiarity with modern teaching strategies, helps students grasp content really well.

My biggest strength as a teacher is my enthusiasm towards the discipline and my ability to take complex topics and explain them in an easy-to-understand way within the students' context. I believe in making learning fun for my students, which encourages them to actively participate in classroom activities. My passion and long-term goal is to rethink how mathematics can be effectively taught in classrooms, where my knowledge and experience can inspire students to achieve their full potential. My approach will depend on the student’s needs and learning style. However, my teaching is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. I usually focus on exam-style or past paper questions in order to check, practice and perfect the student’s understanding and technique. Read less
