I am a business manager and graphic designer with 20 years of experience in the business and financial sector. I have transitioned into a Business Teacher role and hold EU and QTS certification, along with years of experience teaching IBDP Business Management and Individuals & Societies to a diverse range of learners. Additionally, I have a Bachelor of Entrepreneurial Economics degree and am currently halfway through my Master's in Advanced Teaching, specializing in Secondary Education.

As a teacher, I am highly passionate and prioritize placing students at the center of all activities. I firmly believe in creating a learning environment that is conceptual, contextual, and inquiry-based, allowing students to exhibit thoughtful and ethical behavior while being nurtured into innovative and collaborative critical thinkers.

The reason behind my career change to teaching is my desire to assist young minds in learning how to overcome failure and reflect upon and learn from their mistakes. My approach varies depending on the student’s needs and learning style. However, my teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves, using real-world examples wherever possible. My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in answering exam questions and being able to tackle new and unfamiliar problems. My philosophy is based on the idea that learning happens in an environment of mutual respect in which the student is encouraged to think and make new connections for themselves. Read less
