Hi, I'm Carmen and I'm from the UK. After I graduated, I completed a TEFL course and became an English teacher in Hong Kong. I've been teaching for the past 5 years, in classrooms and in an online setting. I have experience teaching children from the age of 2 to 13. I love to create a fun environment where children feel comfortable enough to freely explore the language. I have been teaching a variety of classes that include the Cambridge Starters, Movers, and Flyers courses, phonics, reading comprehension, creative writing, and grammar. During our first class, I get to know the student, their strengths and weaknesses. I believe that in order for students to progress well, there needs to be a solid relationship between them and their teacher, as well as good communication between the teacher and parents. This is something I learned to prioritize as a NET in Hong Kong. All students are different, with different needs, and I aim to create realistic and achievable learning plans with them. Read less
