In the classroom, my approaches are based on my own experience as an English learner. Practically, this means I put myself in the student's shoes and try to understand what causes his/her struggles.

When teaching, I present myself as a coach. My first focus is to maintain a positive atmosphere in which the student feels encouraged to learn and perform at his/her best. And always with enough time for a joke and a laugh, because humour (sarcasm) is an essential part of English communication. Read less
