Hello and welcome!
My name is Odette, and I'm a teacher from the UK. I currently live in Bangkok with my husband.

I have a degree in English Language and Literature and have been a teacher in the UK for over 10 years. I started out teaching Art and Design alongside English before becoming a Food and Nutrition teacher.

I have been very fortunate to be able to teach in subject areas that I am passionate about, merging both my love of the English language and ways of navigating stories with different art styles. Some examples of my teaching include students working on their own short stories and creating storyboards to accompany their written work.

My other passion is food and fitness, both of which I have once again been very fortunate to teach in the UK.

I have a big love for animals, so if you have any pets and want to bring them along to your virtual class, I would be more than happy to have them with us!

I feel that teaching is an opportunity to learn in a range of styles. I remember when I was at school, a good few years ago now, there wasn't much room for creativity or ways to accommodate various learning styles.

I like to incorporate ways into my teaching that I know students will be able to recall and remember. This may be done with images, stories, or verbal recapping, rather than relying solely on reading and writing. Read less
