Marvin finished first in the Euclid Mathematics Competition in 1980 (Canada), achieving a perfect score of 100/100. He also performed well in the Putnam Competition in 1985, ranking in the top 102 out of 2079 participants in North America and scoring in the 70s. Furthermore, he has experience working as a calculus teaching assistant at the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Canada. Marvin is comfortable teaching mathematics at various levels, including undergraduate university courses and middle school. He specializes in preparing students for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, AMC 8/10, and the SSAT. With his deep and thorough understanding of the subjects, he equips his students with special techniques that are rarely taught, giving them an advantage over their peers.
