Hi, I am Zalan!

Are you considering becoming a bass player?
Are you interested in improvisation?
Do you want to play in a band?
Or are you already on the way to becoming a musician, but you need some extra help?

I am a professionally educated bass guitarist and teacher from Hungary, currently based in The Hague. (I recently graduated with a master's degree in education from the Royal Conservatoire The Hague.)
I have been an active musician since 2014 and have played in several formations, from solo performances to big bands and orchestras.
I mostly play in the genres of jazz (free, fusion), metal, repetitive minimal music, and contemporary classical music.
Besides playing, I am quite passionate about teaching. During my bachelor's studies, I started teaching in music schools and have been teaching privately since then.
I can teach you jazz theory, composition, and my own teaching method in a very clear way.
My view on music is simple: Music is a game, which is why we call it "playing" music.
