Hi, my name is Michael, and I am a maths tutor. I studied in the UK since the age of 13, giving me first-hand experience with GCSE and GCE A-level exams, and I hold a Bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Warwick.

After graduation, I worked at one of Hong Kong's largest tutoring centres, specializing in teaching various international curricula, including I/GCSE, GCE, IB, AP, SAT, and more. Having worked there for 2.5 years, I have learned a great deal about how to teach these syllabi.

As a private tutor, I offer my services to students preparing for I/GCSE Mathematics and Additional Mathematics, GCE and IAL Mathematics, IB Mathematics (AAHL, AASL, AIHL, AISL), ACT, and SAT.

I am happy to provide both online and in-person lessons, at most locations reachable by the MTR. For more remote locations, I am also happy to teach in-person with a travel subsidy. Read less

I believe that students learn best when they have interest in the subject, so I try to cultivate that when I teach. Furthermore, rather than simply telling the students how to deal with each question type and practice until they memorise it, I prefer to help them understand the reasons for using different techniques, so students can use critical thinking to answer questions, and improve their problem solving skills.
