Questions for You

Q: What teaching methods do you use to help students learn Math concepts and solve problems?

In my case, games has proven and played an important role in gauging student's knowledge before delving into the topic. I believe that most student's always find concepts in math as intimidating or vague. Thus, it's really important to let them be engage by using games to give them a preview about the topic without ever making them take it all in at once.

Q: Do you have experience with online teaching platforms or virtual tutoring, and what is your preferred method of communication with students?

I prefer meeting through Google Meet or Zoom with distant students and Face-to-Face for students just in Bangkok.

Q: What Math topics or concepts are you particularly skilled in teaching, and how do you keep up to date with changes in the curriculum?

I am proficient in Teaching Algebra, Geometry, Analytic Geometry, Trigonometry, and Statistics. Besides that, I am also able to tailor my lessons base on the specific needs of my students.

Q: How do you communicate with parents about their child's progress and any challenges they may be facing in learning Math?

I believe that giving the assessment results to parents is essential. This will also allow them to keep track on which area their kid needs to improve on and which they excel at most.

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or materials to supplement your lessons, such as practice exercises or online tutorials?

Supplementary videos on Youtube are very important and I always emphasize this with every learner that different sources may have different approach when dealing with problems in mathematics but they always have the same goal. Hence, I always ask them to take time and watch video tutorials online as they also can be useful in solving other complex problems.

Q: What is your approach to homework assignments, and how do you ensure students understand the concepts covered in class?

Whenever I finish explaining to the students, I always see to it that I have something that I have prepared as their seatwork. This is usually done by pair and that will serve as their evaluation at the same time. As for the homework, I always see to it that it should answered before I start my new lesson. As this also serve as a review from their previous lesson in helping them unlock prior knowledge about the next topic.

Q: What steps do you take to ensure that your teaching approach is compatible with the student's learning style?

I believe that each learner has a different learning style. Thus, it is important that I get to know my students and also experiment. Use different approaches, like games, manipulatives, group works, etc. that will give them options about strategies that they enjoy best and work according to their interests.

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning disabilities or special needs, and how do you adapt your teaching methods to accommodate their needs?

No.
