Questions for You

Q: What is your success rate with past students who have learned German after working with you?

I've had great success—many students achieve their goals, whether it's passing exams, finding jobs, or simply speaking confidently. Your success is my priority!

Q: How do you measure progress and track student performance in German?

I measure progress through regular quizzes, assignments, and speaking exercises. I also track improvements in language skills and provide personalized feedback to ensure you’re meeting your goals.

Q: How do you help students develop communication skills in German, both in writing and speaking?

I help students develop communication skills by focusing on speaking through interactive conversations, role-playing, and pronunciation practice. For writing, I provide guidance on structure and style through regular writing assignments and feedback. My main focus is to build your confidence and fluency in speaking German.

Q: What is your approach to teaching German grammar, and how do you help students understand and use it correctly?

Learning the grammar of a new language can feel overwhelming because there are so many different concepts to remember at once. But here's some good news: not all grammar rules are equally important for communicating. Wait, what?! Yes, it’s true! For example, learning how to ask questions or use tenses to talk about things that happened last week or will happen tomorrow is crucial for talking with others. But if you occasionally use the wrong gender for a noun, people will usually still understand you. Start by focusing on what matters most, and keep practicing to get a handle on the more finicky stuff!

Q: Can you discuss your experience with using technology in teaching German, such as online tools or language-learning apps?

I leverage various online tools and language-learning apps to enhance my teaching. While I was living in Bangkok, I developed a German language course on the LINE app, which you can still try for free. Just add LINE ID: @067ctebf. Now that I'm back in Germany, I continue using these technologies to provide engaging and effective online German lessons.

Q: Can you discuss your experience with teaching students of different ages and proficiency levels in German?

I’ve taught students of all ages and proficiency levels, from young beginners to adults seeking advanced skills. My approach is tailored to each student’s needs, whether it’s building foundational skills for kids or refining complex grammar for adults. I focus on creating engaging, personalized lessons that make learning German enjoyable and effective for everyone.

Q: How do you incorporate cultural elements into your lessons for German, such as traditions and customs?

I weave cultural elements into lessons by exploring German traditions, customs, and current events. We discuss holidays, traditional foods, and everyday life in Germany to make learning more immersive and relevant.

Q: What is your approach to teaching German vocabulary, and how do you help students build their vocabulary knowledge?

I use real-life contexts to teach German vocabulary.
