Questions for You

Q: What areas of physics do you specialize in, and what level of physics do you usually teach?

I specialize in particle physics, particularly experimental physics and Machine Learning applications. I'm comfortable teaching all the core subjects in 1st or 2nd year of a physics degree, and occasionally higher. I am also happy to teach at a secondary school level despite having less specific experience.

Q: How do you approach explaining complex physics concepts to students in a way that they can understand?

Everyone has different learning needs and methods. If I'm supporting existing education like university lectures, I try to explain concepts differently or start from another point of view. I use visual aids and examples from related subjects.

Q: Do you have experience with students who struggle with physics, and how do you support them in their learning?

I had students who struggled with specific areas of physics (eg. astrophysics or thermodynamics).

Q: How do you ensure that your physics lessons are aligned with the student's school curriculum or syllabus?

I provide a free session to gather information and plan my lessons.

Q: What is your teaching methodology and how do you structure your physics lessons to meet the needs of individual students?

I usually support existing teaching, so I aim to fill in any gaps in understanding and use exercises and mock exams.

Q: Can you give examples of how you make physics interesting and engaging for students?

I mostly have experience with university students who are already interested in Physics.
