Sustainable learning rests on having an insatiable curiosity to discover, improve upon the status quo, and endlessly pursue and compound knowledge. Having that innate quality also allows students to proactively, willingly and continuously learn in a self-driven way, without being told to do so.

As such, teachers being stewards of each child's education, have a responsibility to do more. Teachers ought to ensure that students cherish the academic skills bequeathed today, develop a deep intellectual curiosity, pursue independent and self-driven learning, so that these skills can be applied throughout their academic lives and careers.
