Questions for You

Q: What teaching methods do you use to help students learn Math concepts and solve problems?

When I teach math I let my voice loud and clear so that my student can easy understand and hear me. I do math games, or I let them solve first before I tell them the way of solving it. In my class I assure that it is always engaging and collaborating.

Q: Do you have experience with online teaching platforms or virtual tutoring, and what is your preferred method of communication with students?

Yes, I have. During pandemic (covid 19) the medium I used was online flatform. The online tools that I used during that time are canvas and google classroom for uploading materials and google meet and zoom for online flatform discussion.

Q: What Math topics or concepts are you particularly skilled in teaching, and how do you keep up to date with changes in the curriculum?

Basic arithmetic, fractions, area and perimeters, length, mass, capacities, algebra, statistics for high school, number theory, basic calculus. To fit in the curriculum ofcourse I will let them do learning by doing. It's more on performance base which they are going to explore first on their own and me as their facilitator if they really don't know what to do. But still traditional teaching is still important that's why I still want to discuss to them the key points that they really need to learn for that particular topic.

Q: How do you communicate with parents about their child's progress and any challenges they may be facing in learning Math?

First, I do self assessment if all the ways I did was good for the student, and I look for the progress of the students about their performances and when I got and gathered the information I will write a letter and I want the child to cary the letter to home and give it to their mom as invitation for meeting and also call personally. I assure that I will show them the correct and accurate performance record of their child from the start to avoid confusions and questions.

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or materials to supplement your lessons, such as practice exercises or online tutorials?

Yes, to make my sources strong and have other references. And I prepare all the things I need and the child needs for that session.

Q: What is your approach to homework assignments, and how do you ensure students understand the concepts covered in class?

About the homework, I made my own problem and let tge student answer it. If no assignment, I will ask them whats the reason and encourage them to be true and enjoy learning cause it is a gateways to success.

Q: What steps do you take to ensure that your teaching approach is compatible with the student's learning style?

At first, I do different test styles so that I will be able to identify what approach that student good at. And when I alreadt determine it, I try my best to implement it but also let the student try also different way from what they are good at so they will used to it.

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning disabilities or special needs, and how do you adapt your teaching methods to accommodate their needs?

Yes, every class he scream for no reason and I try everything to get the heart of the child so he will listen to me. I try to comfort that child, laugh with him, talk to him always and everytime he will shout he is a dumb I will tap him and said, no you are not, ypu are smart, you can do everything as long as you will listen and focus. Until one day, he always come to me and smile and now he did not scream anymore.
