The teaching methods that I use to help students learn Math concepts and solve problems is using interactive tecgnology. Incorporate educational apps, online simulations, and interactive whiteboards to make learning math more engaging and interactive. I also use Problem-Based Learning where in I present students with real-world problems or open-ended questions that require critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
I have two and a half years of experience with online teaching platforms or virtual tutoring. I use Zoom Meeting to teach students and Google Classroom to upload activities, lesson notes, and assessments. To communicate with the students, I prefer Google Chats and Google Spaces.
Basic algebra, geometry, trigonometry, probability, and statistics are subjects I am proficient in teaching. I frequently check official sources, like the website of your state or district education department, for updates on curriculum standards and guidelines in order to stay current with changes in the curriculum. I also take part in workshops, seminars, and conferences that are centered around curriculum development and updates.
To communicate with parents about their child's progress is through regular parent-teacher conferences to discuss the child's academic progress, strengths, and areas for improvement in math. Provide specific examples of the child's work and strategies for improvement. I also reach out to parents individually via phone calls or emails to discuss their child's math performance and any concerns or challenges they may be facing.
Yes, after every discussion, I provide practice exercises to follow up on their learning and understanding of the topic.
Scaffold homework assignments to gradually transition students from guided practice to independent practice. Start with simpler problems or tasks and gradually increase the complexity as students gain confidence and understanding.
