I have been successfully teaching and coaching Cross-Cultural English and French Business and Relationship building through communication in Bangkok for over 20 years. I have worked with many internationally recognized corporations such as Michelin, Sony Pictures, Nikkei-The Financial Times, MUFG, Chanel, and L'Oréal. My dual background in business, specifically in Marketing Communication for the luxury industry, and in education, where I have experience in coaching, training, and program development, has placed me in a unique position to help my learners achieve the level of impact they desire when speaking English or French with native speakers.

As a young French university graduate, my first job was at the Paris office of American fashion designer Ralph Lauren, where I was responsible for brand development and communication at the European level and beyond. After spending eight years with Ralph Lauren, I transitioned into an independent MarCom consultant, which is the role I currently hold. I provide guidance and active support to brands looking to enter and expand in new, culturally diverse markets.

Throughout my career, I have recognized that the differences between direct ("Western") communication and indirect ("Asian") communication are significant factors that challenge my clients. Misunderstandings that result from communicating indirectly to a direct audience, or vice versa, can lead to strained relationships, slow business growth, and even deal-breaking situations. This realization has led me to prioritize coaching on clear, efficient, and impactful communication as a key component of my work.

My teaching method is student-centered. In our first meetings, we will discuss your current abilities, your context, your objectives, and we will define a road map together. A typical session starts with a short catch-up conversation in the target language, followed by a focus on a specific or common communication challenge. We will then discuss ways to overcome that challenge, both through linguistic and soft skills advice, and finish with a simulation/role-play to apply concepts and techniques learned. Read less
