Hi there!
My name´s Tom Shaughnessy and I´m Irish.
I´ve been living in Alicante for the past eight years, speak Spanish and have been teaching English to students of all ages and levels since 2012 after completing a TEFL course.
My background is in Business Studies and even though I have over fifteen years of experience in multi-nationals, I enjoy teaching much more!!
My lessons are very much conversation based. I like to believe that I teach grammar in a fun and interactive way, and in that way, lessons are fun for both me and my students.
I enjoy cycling, walking my dogs, traveling, and swimming.

For online lessons with kids, I use TPR and lots of props in order to both engage and entertain students.
For my face-to-face and skype based lessons, I used material from Cambridge as well as providing supplementary material.
I keep myself flexible to the needs of each individual student and treat every student, regardless of their level, with the same level of respect. Read less
