Questions for You

Q: What kind of materials and resources do you use in your classes?

I use clear and concise documents to understand the concept. Application exercises and discussions related to current events, or authentic audio, video and written documents.

Q: How do you incorporate speaking, listening, writing, and reading in your lessons?

The 4 skills are used to optimize the understanding and expression of the French language. Audio and video media are the main learning tools. I am French and trained in teaching. I am therefore the best tool for the acquisition of French sounds, pronunciation, comprehension and expression!

Q: Do you offer homework assignments or practice exercises?

It all depends on the learner's commitment! When I feel that someone is motivated or has a specific goal, yes I assign homework.

Q: How do you help students with pronunciation and accent?

Learning French sounds is the first step in building a new language. So yes, I am very attentive to the quality of expression in French.

Q: How do you teach French grammar and vocabulary?

Of course, yes! In general, grammar does not attract people. However, it is essential to understanding the language, in its logic and the relationship to the construction of simple then complex sentences.

Q: Can you adapt your teaching style for different learning styles?

Yes, during my various experiences as a teacher, I often had to adapt to my students and propose, when they were in a group, differentiated approaches. We are all different in our abilities to learn a foreign language!

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or support outside of lessons such as language exchanges or cultural events?

Yes, I often advise my students to watch films in French or with French subtitles. Or to listen to French songs, watch documentaries, read articles, meet people who speak French, work together... anything that promotes connections with French.
