Hello! My name is Jess. Currently, I live in Johannesburg, South Africa but I am originally from Zimbabwe, born to British parents who were known to be quite ‘posh’! I have both parents to thank for my appreciation of good English.

I recently completed a 120 Hour Advanced TEFL / TESOL certificate and a 30 Hour IELTS Preparation Coach Certificate.

For 8 years, I have worked in the tertiary education industry, assisting students from
sub-Saharan Africa to apply and prepare for their international university studies.
From my experience, I have developed a specific interest in English for tertiary studies.

I prefer one-on-one coaching, using verbal (conversational) and visual methods to aid the learning process. I love to see a student's confidence soar because of the knowledge they acquire and the realisation of how capable they really are.

I look forward to working with you to help you to unlock your potential and achieve your English language goals, whether that is to pass a test, or become more confident in general, I will help you.
