My name is Vladimir Sarkisov, I was born in Russia but grew up and was raised in Europe. My family and I moved to Prague, Czech Republic when I was still a kid, therefore I grew up in an international environment. I went to a Prague British International School where I finished the IB programme. After that, I moved to Amsterdam, Netherlands to pursue studying in the field of my interest, which is Economics. I was admitted to one of the strongest economics universities in Europe, the University of Amsterdam. I am currently in my last year of the Bachelor's degree, completing an internship programme at a multinational company TIP-group, in the position of a customer invoicing intern/billing intern.
I have always been very passionate about helping people around me with things that they would particularly struggle with, whereas I had a lot less problems with them. Ever since middle school, I have been really invested in the studies of Maths, Business, and Economics, finding them particularly interesting. Math has always been a strong subject for me, and I never experienced any problems throughout my entire education. I was always the go-to person in my circle for help in these subjects.
A little bit about myself, I am an extroverted, social person who easily finds a common language with others, whether it's a child or a teenager. I can create a comfortable environment for people to study with pleasure. I believe that learning anything in life should be accompanied by a good emotional state, so creating the right environment is important.
Even though I have never had professional teaching experience, throughout my life I have voluntarily taken on the role of tutor/teacher. I am confident in my abilities and believe that any obstacle can be overcome with the right methodology for each individual. I also have younger brothers and sisters whom I have guided through their school years, always willing to help them with their subjects. It gives me pleasure to know that my efforts help others feel better about themselves. I believe it's crucial for a teacher or tutor to have a passion for what they do, as their role goes beyond teaching material - it's about igniting a spark in the individual to gain deeper insight into the subject and understand their own future goals. It is very important that both the student and the teacher feel comfortable together. A connection between the two almost guarantees success as both the student and the teacher will then be putting forth their maximum effort. Therefore, I will attempt to bond well with the student at first, and only then will we dive into the world of knowledge.
When it comes to learning, I believe practice trumps it all. Theory is great, but without proper practice, there can never be a complete understanding of the matter. Read less
