Questions for You

Q: What teaching methods do you use to help students learn Math concepts and solve problems?

Usually combine it into lyrics or fun acronyms for them to remember as our brain is more likely to remember melodys and lyrics .

Q: Do you have experience with online teaching platforms or virtual tutoring, and what is your preferred method of communication with students?

My preferred communication would be 1-on-1 however i do have experience teaching online so therefore online is my second choice.

Q: What Math topics or concepts are you particularly skilled in teaching, and how do you keep up to date with changes in the curriculum?

I am skilled in all areas except probability, i am trying to tutor myself on that topic. I usually watch videos and do past papers in my free time to be up to date with any changes.

Q: How do you communicate with parents about their child's progress and any challenges they may be facing in learning Math?

I would usually ask to speak privately and let them know the student's weak areas but focus more on the parts where they excel or have improved from before. The challenges the kid faces can always be worked on and instead we should show appreciation to the progress they have made so far.

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or materials to supplement your lessons, such as practice exercises or online tutorials?

I create my own exercises and practice tests that they will take home to practice with and then at the end of a topic, once they have acknowledged their understanding of it, i will make another test for them to complete as if it were a real test with the same regulations and rules.

Q: What is your approach to homework assignments, and how do you ensure students understand the concepts covered in class?

Students in my class are encouraged to always ask questions no matter how silly they may think it is. Any misunderstanding of a concept will then be rectified in a simplified eplanation with multiple examples that they could use as guidelines.

Q: What steps do you take to ensure that your teaching approach is compatible with the student's learning style?

Research. Once a child identifies how they are comfortable being taught or which method works for them, if i am unfamiliar with said method, i will then conduct research as to how to further use that method to help them understand even harder topics,

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning disabilities or special needs, and how do you adapt your teaching methods to accommodate their needs?

I have experience with some special needs such as ADHD and for said student, i would usually make it as a fun experience so that their brain in stimulated and would not want to get distracted doing something else. I would also take breaks.
