Questions for You

Q: What teaching methods do you use to help students learn Math concepts and solve problems?

I use a step-by-step approach to explain math concepts, combining visual aids, real-world examples, and hands-on practice. I encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and apply problem-solving strategies to reinforce understanding and build confidence.

Q: Do you have experience with online teaching platforms or virtual tutoring, and what is your preferred method of communication with students?

I have years of experience with online teaching. I typically use Zoom for the lessons. And for the communication I use emails and also whatsapp, whichever the student prefers.

Q: What Math topics or concepts are you particularly skilled in teaching, and how do you keep up to date with changes in the curriculum?

I am skilled in teaching algebra, calculus, geometry, and statistics, with a strong focus on building foundational skills. I organize my lessons in a way that generally follows the curriculum, but deviates from it whenever the student needs some fundamental understanding from other topics. This ensures my lessons are relevant and aligned with students' academic goals.

Q: How do you communicate with parents about their child's progress and any challenges they may be facing in learning Math?

I provide regular updates to parents through emails, messages, or brief meetings, sharing progress, strengths, and areas for improvement. I also suggest strategies to support their child's learning at home.

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or materials to supplement your lessons, such as practice exercises or online tutorials?

If necessary, I also provide additional resources like practice exercises or recommend online tutorials to reinforce lessons, tailored to the student's needs.

Q: What is your approach to homework assignments, and how do you ensure students understand the concepts covered in class?

I do a quick repeat at the beginning of every lesson, and review their work if there was a homework. This way, I make sure that they are on the same page when we continue.

Q: What steps do you take to ensure that your teaching approach is compatible with the student's learning style?

I assess each student’s learning style by observing how they grasp concepts and asking for their feedback. I then adapt my teaching methods, using visuals, practical examples, or step-by-step explanations to suit their needs.

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning disabilities or special needs, and how do you adapt your teaching methods to accommodate their needs?

Yes, I have experience working with students with learning disabilities. I adapt my teaching by simplifying concepts, using visual aids, and breaking tasks into manageable steps, while being patient and flexible to meet their unique needs.
