Questions for You

Q: What teaching methods do you use to help students learn Math concepts and solve problems?

The number one method I have used is breaking down the problems and ensuring that the student understands the process, not just the solution. Understanding the process will test the students understand and with understand comes the ability to be able to solve any problem related to that topic.

Q: Do you have experience with online teaching platforms or virtual tutoring, and what is your preferred method of communication with students?

I have no preference, any form of communication is good with me. What is important is whether or not the student feels that they grasp concepts better in person or online.

Q: What Math topics or concepts are you particularly skilled in teaching, and how do you keep up to date with changes in the curriculum?

I consistently use my younger siblings to keep up with the changes in the curriculum and to ensure that I still have a good grasp on the concepts.

Q: How do you communicate with parents about their child's progress and any challenges they may be facing in learning Math?

I will make sure that the child does the practice tests and questions that I give them and from there gage what their level of understanding is. Once I have made my assessment, I will communicate it in detail with the parents and let them know what the best way forward is.

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or materials to supplement your lessons, such as practice exercises or online tutorials?

Yes, I bring my own additional resources to help supplement my lessons and help expose the student to all the diffrent aspects there is on the particular topic.

Q: What is your approach to homework assignments, and how do you ensure students understand the concepts covered in class?

I will go through the homework with the students and ensure that they expllain why they did what they did. This way I get to engage with their way of thinking and can address it in a way that will see to it that the lesson ends with them having an understanding of the concepts and aliging their way of thinking with the thinking that is needed to solve the problems.

Q: What steps do you take to ensure that your teaching approach is compatible with the student's learning style?

I engage the students thought process, and from there I willa dapt to their way of thinking, that way they can better grasp their concepts.

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning disabilities or special needs, and how do you adapt your teaching methods to accommodate their needs?

No, but I am willing to work on this and see to it that no matter what the disability is, my student gets to leave feeling confident about their ability to solve problems.
