A teacher with over 8 years of experience and an experienced tutor with 18 consecutive months of full-time tutoring. Currently, I am the lead physics teacher at a private international school.

I have tutored numerous students in GCSE maths and science, as well as students in A-level physics, and some younger students in maths and science. My teaching style is traditional, focusing on core knowledge and the ability to articulate concepts verbally before translating them into writing. I discuss what students already know about a subject, then work out what is missing. I explain, allow them to ask questions, and take notes.

After that, I question them to ensure they understand and can apply the concepts from various angles at a difficulty and pace that suits them.

I believe it is important for students to experience successes in every lesson so they can witness their own progress. They also need to be challenged beyond their comfort zone at times while receiving support.
