As a chemistry major at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), I have three years of experience teaching IB, AP, and IGCSE Chemistry. My teaching focuses on simplifying complex concepts and tailoring lessons to each student’s needs.

Teaching Approach:
- Session Duration: Each session lasts 120 minutes, with flexibility for adjustment based on mutual agreement.
- Customized Planning: After an initial consultation, I develop a tailored plan aligned with the student’s curriculum and goals.
- Textbook: Most of the time, the student’s school textbook will be used, often Cambridge, to establish a solid conceptual foundation. Emphasis is placed on clarifying challenging topics and highlighting areas frequently tested in exams.
- Practice-Oriented Learning: Sessions focus on solving problems from Question Banks, Past Papers, and school assignments to reinforce understanding and application.
- Homework Assignments: Regular problem-solving homework is assigned to encourage independent study.

I am living in Kennedy Town, but prefer online tutoring. A 1-hour trial session is available on a topic of the student’s choice. I provide detailed progress reports to parents after every eight sessions. Read less
