Tom Scholz, PhD, CFA, CPA, CIPM, CPFC

I teach Finance, Excel, and Economics. I am based in Milwaukee and can teach both in-person and online.

I am an Associate Professor of Finance and Economics at Concordia University Wisconsin.

Before transitioning to full-time teaching, I spent nineteen years in the investment industry, working in Minneapolis, London, Buenos Aires, Chicago, and Milwaukee.

Highlights of my pre-academic career include working for Goldman Sachs in London and teaching English to Spanish speakers in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

For four years, I taught international classes onsite in the Pre-College Programs at George Washington University and Georgetown University.

I received my undergraduate degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, my MBA from the University of Chicago, and my PhD in International Development from the University of Southern Mississippi.

In addition to teaching, I serve as a Certified Personal Finance Coach for Scholz Financial Advisory and as a Senior Wealth Advisor for Entasis Asset Management. Read less
