I am a native English speaker from Ireland offering private English lessons. I have four years of experience teaching in mainstream primary school classrooms. Additionally, I spent a year supporting students with ESOL, focusing on pronunciation, reading, and comprehension in a mainstream school. I also have experience giving private English and Irish lessons. I enjoy teaching students of all ages and find it rewarding to see their progress and confidence grow. Through my experience, I have learned how to assess clients, set goals for them, and adapt my teaching to provide the most effective and enjoyable experience. I am passionate about learning languages myself, with Spanish being the third language I am learning. I like to take an open approach to teaching, as I am very familiar with the fact that all students will have different needs and learning styles. I like to implement multi-modal learning, as I find that it helps to reinforce and consolidate learning through the use of visuals, oral and aural language, and even games where appropriate. I use my first lesson to assess where my student is at and determine the approaches that I think will be helpful for them. Read less
