Questions for You

Q: What teaching methods do you use to help students learn Math concepts and solve problems?

Visual aids, real-life math problems, math games and challenges

Q: Do you have experience with online teaching platforms or virtual tutoring, and what is your preferred method of communication with students?

None

Q: What Math topics or concepts are you particularly skilled in teaching, and how do you keep up to date with changes in the curriculum?

Mostly Geometry, Basic Trigonometry, measurement and Algebra

Q: How do you communicate with parents about their child's progress and any challenges they may be facing in learning Math?

I believe that open and consistent communication with parents is key to a student’s success. I provide regular updates on their child’s progress, highlighting both improvements and areas that need more support. These updates may include brief summaries after sessions, periodic progress reports, or scheduled check-ins to discuss goals and next steps.

Q: Do you provide any additional resources or materials to supplement your lessons, such as practice exercises or online tutorials?

Yes.

Q: What is your approach to homework assignments, and how do you ensure students understand the concepts covered in class?

When it comes to homework, my approach is to guide—not give answers. I encourage students to attempt problems on their own first, then we work through any difficulties together during our sessions. I focus on helping them understand the “why” behind each step so they can apply the concept independently.

Q: What steps do you take to ensure that your teaching approach is compatible with the student's learning style?

To align my teaching with each student’s learning style, I start by observing how they respond to different explanations and activities during our first sessions. I ask questions to understand their preferences—whether they learn best through visuals, hands-on practice, listening, or step-by-step explanations.

Q: Do you have experience working with students with learning disabilities or special needs, and how do you adapt your teaching methods to accommodate their needs?

None
