Hello! I’m a retired international ship captain with more than 15 years of professional experience at sea. Over the course of my career, I’ve led diverse crews, navigated through real-world challenges, and made critical decisions under pressure — all of which required a strong foundation in mathematics, leadership, and discipline.

Now that I’m back on land, I’ve found joy and purpose in sharing what I know by teaching Grade School Math to young learners. Many people are surprised to learn that being a ship captain involves a great deal of practical math: navigation, distance, speed, time, measurements, angles, and logical thinking — all used in real-time situations where precision matters. That’s the same mindset I bring into tutoring today.
